HERE Die Jammin' is the musical arm of what we hope will become a free expression festival with improvisation and extemporaneous art of all forms. Not only will we invite known jam bands to perform and others to be seen, but we will conduct extensive jam sessions and competitions for individual artists to interact with others in their specialty. Some stages will host competitions. Others will just let unfamiliar partners get the chance to jam with some of the greatest improvisors alive today. Compensation will be contracted at the time of final acceptance. All artists who participate will be given discount opportunities for rooms and food. We're just getting started and don't want to overpromise anything we can't deliver, but with your help, we'l make this the first Die Jammin' Festival of many annual events. Winners of jam contests will be awarded a package of prizes as compensation. We will update the site as the packages and payments are solidified.
So, set aside November 7th, 8th, and 9th, 10th of 2013 for the first annual Die Jammin' Festival to be held in and around Houston Texas, . Spoken Word, and extemporaneous Song Writing exhibitions and competitions will be a big part of the Festival, but we will mostly feature music of all sorts in improvised harmonic interaction. As sponsers join, their names will be added to website, so keep checking with diejammin.com for updates on the Festival. Travel will not be provided for most artists. Compensation for most artists accepted will be in exposure and interaction with jam enthusiasts. We can accommodate 30 or 40 stages, so we're not limiting the number of submissions and are using Sonicbids as our exclusive outside query service.
